Introduction
To enrol as a candidate surveyor, you'll need to apply to the NSW Board of Surveying and Spatial Information (BOSSI).
Before you apply, check the requirements for becoming a candidate land surveyor or candidate mining surveyor.
Enrolment is payable at the beginning of each financial year.
Eligibility
You need to:
- be enrolled to study for a recognised qualification, or
- hold a recognised qualification.
What you need
- a MyServiceNSW Account (you can create one when you start your application) or your OneGov account
- copies of the following documents that are certified, in English, and in PDF format (maximum file size 4MB):
- tertiary education degree, transcript or proof of enrolment
- proof of identity such as driver licence, passport, birth certificate
- completed Notice of practical experience form – PDF (optional)
- a passport quality photo in JPG format
- a credit or debit card for the enrolment fee
- if you are an overseas applicant, a BOSSI-specific Overseas Assessment.
How to apply
- Gather the required documents.
- Select the ‘Apply online’ button.
- Select 'Start' on the application screen.
- Log in, or create your MyServiceNSW Account, or log in using your OneGov credentials.
- Follow the prompts to apply to be a candidate surveyor.
