Reserve a personalised vessel registration number

Introduction

If you're intending to sell a vessel that has a personalised vessel registration (PVR), and you want to reserve this registration number, you'll need to:

• remove the numbers from the hull
• inform any potential owner they will have to register the vessel as a new registration
• complete a 'Statutory Declaration Vessel Registrations' form.

You can do this in person at a service centre, or by mail.

What you need

• your proof of identity
• your registration details
• the PDF form – 'Statutory Declaration Vessel Registrations'
• an authorised witness to certify the form, such as a:
  • Justice of the Peace (JP)
  • legal practitioner
  • notary public.

How to reserve

3. Visit a service centre to submit your information in person, or post it to:
