Community facilities or public assets
If you see graffiti on community facilities or public assets, you can report it directly to the organisation or business responsible for the property. Examples include:
- Ausgrid – for graffiti on their assets such as electricity boxes
- Telstra – for graffiti on their equipment like overhead cables, manhole covers, and payphones
- Transport for NSW – for graffiti on public transport vehicles, stations, stops, or wharves.
On your property
If the graffiti is on your private property, it's your responsibility to get it cleaned. Options include:
- contacting your local council – they may provide graffiti removal kits or a removal service
- reporting the damage to the NSW Police and getting a police event number for insurance purposes.
