There are 2 types of liquor licences available for surf clubs – a limited licence and an on-premises licence.
A limited licence is suitable for clubs that are non-profit organisations. With this licence you can sell alcohol to club members and guests at social functions on club premises. You can hold up to 52 of these functions in a 12-month period. See how to apply for a limited liquor licence.
To sell alcohol at private events held at the club, an on-premises licence is appropriate. This licence also allows the club to sell alcohol at its own social functions. Hiring out the club premises and selling alcohol at these events is also permitted under this licence. See how to apply for an on-premises licence.
