Update details on a firearms licence (individual)

If you hold a firearms licence you can update your contact details and safe storage address(es) online.

You can update your personal details on your firearms licence, via the NSW Police Force Community Portal.

Personal details include your:

  • residential address
  • mailing address
  • mobile/phone number
  • safe storage address(es).

To update online you need:

  • a MyServiceNSW Account
  • proof of identity (POI) such as driver licence and birth certificate
    Note: The name on your POI documents must be exactly the same as the name on your MyServiceNSW Account.
  • your firearms licence number.

To change your name details you must lodge your request through the NSW Police Force Community Portal's Customer Enquiries.

Privacy

To apply for, renew or update a firearms licence or permit with the Firearms Registry (NSW Police Force), you'll need to create or log in with a MyServiceNSW Account.

By logging in you consent to sharing your name and email address in your MyServiceNSW Account with the NSW Police Force.
