If you have an issue with a motor vehicle dealer or repairer:
- talk about your issue with the other party and share any relevant information, such as invoices, quotes and reports
- provide suggestions to resolve your issue and be prepared to negotiate a settlement.
If you’re unable to resolve your issue:
- contact NSW Fair Trading on 13 32 20 to discuss your situation
- lodge a complaint online or by visiting a Service NSW Centre.
NSW Fair Trading will:
- assess your complaint and provide a free dispute resolution service
- provide options for formal resolution, such as lodging a claim with the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (if necessary).
