Customer assistance

Sydney Water offers programs and support to customers struggling to pay their water bill.

Short and long-term support options are available for home owners and tenants, including:

  • payment extensions and plans
  • Payment Assistance Scheme (PAS)
  • free essential plumbing repairs
  • emergency support
  • deductions from Centrelink payments
  • discounts for pensioners.

PAS (Payment Assistance Scheme)

Eligible customers can access emergency financial support through Sydney Water's Payment Assistance Scheme. 

If you're having difficulty paying your water bill and you are eligible for PAS, Sydney Water can apply PAS credits directly to your Sydney Water bill. 

How to apply

You can apply online for PAS or call Sydney Water on 1800 222 280.

You can also make an appointment with an accredited community agency in your local government area. View a list of accredited agencies by local government area.
