Introduction

To find out where you should vote, use your address to look up your:

  • state electoral district and local council/area, or
  • federal division.

Eligibility

To find your electorate, you must be enrolled to vote.

How to find

​​​To search for your state electoral district and local council/area:

  1. Select the ‘Find online’ button.
  2. Select ‘Find your electorate’.
  3. Enter your address, then select ‘Find’ to display your results.

To search for your federal electorate:

  1. Select the ‘Find online’ button.
  2. Select ‘Federal electorate’.
  3. Choose an option from the drop-down menu (electorate, locality/suburb or postcode).
  4. Enter your details, then select ‘Find’ to display your results.

If you cannot search online, or your locality/suburb or postcode falls into more than one federal electorate, contact the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) to confirm which electorate you live in.

You can also use the NSW Electoral Commission and the AEC’s online tools to find information such as:

  • your electorate’s profile
  • the suburbs within the electorate
  • its parliamentary representatives
  • past election results
  • enrolment statistics
  • electoral maps.
