There are more than 120 different apprenticeship courses available in NSW, in a range of industries including construction, cooking, aviation and automotive.

Under the fee-free apprenticeship initiative, employees/apprentices pay no upfront fees.

Removing fees makes it easier for employers to hire apprentices and encourages more people to take up apprenticeships.

All NSW apprentices, including school-based apprentices whose training began on or after 1 July 2018 are eligible. Apprentices that cross NSW borders to undertake training funded by the NSW Government are also eligible.

If you started your apprenticeship training before 1 July 2018 and are returning to the same apprenticeship on or after 1 July 2018 because of a change in your employer, you'll be eligible for fee-free for the remainder of your training.

You can find more information for both employers and apprentices by visiting Fee-Free Apprenticeships.
