Introduction

The Marine Rescue NSW app helps boaters stay safe on NSW waters by connecting them directly to search and rescue experts.

You can log on to inform Marine Rescue NSW when starting a journey and if you don't log off as planned, a search mission can be mobilised to ensure your safe return.

When you enable location settings, a live safety tracking feature is activated and your position is automatically updated every 30 minutes.

The free app is available for:

• Android smartphone
• Android tablet.

• local tide, weather and sea conditions 
• your latitude/longitude position coordinates 
• boat ramp locations and popular fishing spots
• a safety checklist
• emergency call procedures

How to download

1. To download the app, select the appropriate app store button.

• get information on boating safety, including advice on planning and logging your trip.
