Introduction

Transport for NSW offers a range of products free of charge for NSW pensioners.

Check the eligibility requirements and you may not have to pay for:

  • licence
  • driving test
  • riding skills test
  • heavy vehicle competency based assessment (CBA) log book and guide
  • replacement learner driver log book
  • Photo Card
  • transfer fees and stamp duty (eligible Department of Veterans' Affairs pensioners only).

Eligibility

You have one of the following:

  • Pensioner Concession Card issued by Services Australia or Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)
  • DVA Veteran Gold Card printed with one of the following:
    • TPI
    • EDA
    • War Widow or War Widower
  • letter from the DVA confirming one of the following:
    • you receive a Disability Compensation Payment at the 70% rate or higher
    • you receive a Disability Compensation Payment at the Intermediate rate
    • you've been assessed at 50 or more impairment points.
      Note: DVA letters can be downloaded from DVA's MyService.

Note: Holders of an interstate pensioner concession card are not eligible.
