Introduction

You can change your email address or mobile phone number with Transport for NSW using a MyServiceNSW Account.

This means your driver licence or vehicle registration details will be changed at the same time as your account details.

What you need

  • ​​​​​a MyServiceNSW Account
    • you can create an account when you begin
    • you may need details from 2 identity documents (such as Australian driver licence, Medicare card, passport)
  • the 'NSW Driver Licence' or 'Vehicle registration' service added to your account
    Note: If you have a Digital Driver Licence, the driver licence service will already be added
  • if you do not have either service added yet, you'll be stepped through adding a service – you'll need your:
    • NSW Driver Licence or Photo Card details, or
    • vehicle registration details.

How to change

  1. Select the 'Change online' button.
  2. Log in, or create your MyServiceNSW Account.
  3. If you already have the Driver Licence or Vehicle Registration service added, you'll be taken to 'Personal details'.
    Go to step 7.
  4. If you do not have a service added, follow the prompts to connect to Transport for NSW and confirm your NSW Driver Licence, Photo Card or vehicle registration details.
    You'll be taken to ‘My services’. 
  5. Select ‘NSW Driver Licence’ or ‘Vehicle Registration’.
  6. In the ‘Contact details’ section, select ‘Update’ in the Email address or Mobile number tile.
    You'll be taken to ‘Personal details’.
  7. In 'Personal details', select ‘Update’ for email or mobile number.
  8. Enter your new email or mobile number.
  9. Select the checkbox to change the details on the driver licence or vehicle registration service.
