Introduction
If you need to cancel your conditional vehicle registration, you can do this at a Service NSW Centre.
You'll receive a cancellation letter so you can apply for a refund for the unused portion of your compulsory third party (CTP) insurance.
You will not receive a refund for number plate or administration fees already paid to Transport for NSW.
What you need
- your proof of identity
- your business identification details (if applicable)
- your Certificate of Conditional Registration
- your number plate(s).
How to cancel
- Complete the 'Cancel Registration Advice' on the back of the vehicle's Certificate of Conditional Registration.
- Make sure you have all the required documents and your number plate(s).
- Visit a service centre to cancel your conditional vehicle registration.
