Introduction
The design of certain items of plant must be registered with SafeWork NSW or a corresponding work health and safety (WHS) regulator.
Altered designs must also be registered. For example if a design is:
- altered in a way that affects health and safety, such as new:
- control measures, or
- conditions of operation
- altered to make a new item of plant.
Designs that only need a correction such as a typo do not have to be re-registered. Email licensing@safework.nsw.gov.au with details of the corrections required.
Note: International business entity applicants must have one of the following:
- Australian Registered Body Number (ARBN)
- Australian Company Number (ACN)
- Australian Business Number (ABN), or
- a local agent in Australia.
For more information refer to Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
