Introduction
A tattoo master licence allows you to carry on a body art tattooing business in NSW.
If you hold a master licence for the premises and you also perform tattooing procedures at the same premises, you do not need a separate tattooist licence.
Eligibility
To apply for a tattoo master licence, you must:
- be an individual and at least 18 years of age
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen
- not be a controlled member of a declared organisation under the Crimes (Criminal Organisations Control) Act 2012
- not be a member of a prescribed criminal organisation or have been a member in the previous 12 months.
What you need
- copies of 2 types of acceptable identification documents for yourself
- the PDF form – Nomination of Premises Manager
- for each close associate (if applicable):
- the PDF form – Close Associate Consent
- 3 types of acceptable identification documents
- your application fee.
