Under the NSW Government Energy Savings Scheme financial incentives may be available to help you reduce the cost of your energy bills. Over time access to incentives may change as new ones are added or old ones are removed.
Current incentives
- Install a battery – access a discount on installing a battery in your home or small business with an existing solar system, or have the discount priced into a quote for a combined solar system and battery installation.
- Sign your battery up to a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) – receive an incentive by signing your battery up to a demand response contract which allows you to sell some of the excess stored energy in your battery when other people on the grid need it most.
- Upgrade your air conditioner – access discounts to lower the cost of installing a new energy-efficient air conditioner or replacing your old one with a more efficient model.
- Upgrade your hot water system – access discounts to lower the cost of switching to a new energy-efficient solar or heat pump hot water system.
Previous incentives included discounted energy efficient lighting.
