Powerhouse Museum (Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences)

Powerhouse brings together the arts, design, science and technology. It helps in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues.

Powerhouse are undertaking a landmark infrastructure renewal program, spearheaded by:

• the creation of the new museum, Powerhouse Parramatta
• expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill
• the renewal of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo
• the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory
• a digitisation project to provide new levels of access to the Powerhouse Collection.

The museum takes care of over half a million objects of national and international significance. The collection is one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia.
